Personalised 80th Birthday Poster

Buying a digital file offers several unique advantages over a physical print. First and foremost, the turnaround time between you placing your order and receiving your personalised design is incredibly fast, often within 1 business day and, in many cases, the same day. This means you can have it printed, framed, and displayed in no time, bypassing any potential postal delays or damages.

Moreover, a digital file gives you complete control over your purchase. There are no limits to the number of times you can print it once you have the file. This flexibility is perfect if you’re organising a party and would like to incorporate it into your table décor or need multiple copies for any other purpose.

In addition, by choosing digital over physical, you’re making a conscious choice to reduce your carbon footprint. This is because digital products eliminate the need for physical shipping and packaging, which can be substantial contributors to environmental impact. So not only are you receiving a beautiful piece of art, you’re also making a greener choice.

Overall, opting for a digital file provides you with speed, control, versatility, and an environmentally friendly solution for your art needs.

Every done-for-you poster is one high-resolution JPEG, delivered by email as a Dropbox link. It’s print-ready at 300 DPI and works at 8×10", 11×14", 16×20" or 18×24". There’s no physical product and nothing is posted — you download the file and print it wherever you like.

You also get a complimentary black and white version of the same poster, included free with every order.

When your poster is ready we’ll email you a Dropbox link.

For our done-for-you posters, we offer 3 turnaround options:

► 1 business day — fulfilled by the next business day from you placing your order with your photo uploaded (Monday to Friday)

► 12-hour weekDAY rush — fulfilled within 12 hours of you placing your order with your photo uploaded (Monday to Friday)

► 24-hour weekEND rush — fulfilled within 24 hours of you placing your order with your photo uploaded (Saturday & Sunday)

When your poster is ready we’ll email you a Dropbox link. You don’t need a Dropbox account.

1. Open the email from us and click the link
2. The poster opens in Dropbox in your browser
3. Then download the poster itself:
On a computer — hover over the poster file and click the download icon that appears.
On a phone or tablet — tap the three dots in the top right of the poster, then tap Download.
4. The JPEG saves to your device — that’s the file you take to a printer

🔒 Dropbox may ask you to sign up. You do not have to. At the bottom of that box, choose “Or continue with download only”.

If the link doesn’t open or the download won’t start, email hello@giftstoprint.com and we’ll send the file another way.

The poster can be printed at home, however for a professional look we suggest getting it printed at your local print shop (Ryman, Snappy Snaps, Boots Photo, or a supermarket photo centre). There are also many online printing options.

Yes. The aged-newspaper effect is part of the design itself, not something the paper provides. The tone, the texture and the print grain are all built into the file, so it prints exactly as it looks on screen — on ordinary white paper.

There’s no special paper to buy. A matte or satin finish gives the nicest result, but standard printer paper is absolutely fine.

Yes, particularly for milestone birthdays like 1st, 16th, 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th, and 100th. A custom newspaper poster recreates the front page from the year your recipient was born, featuring real UK news headlines, sport results, entertainment references, and price comparisons from that era. Combined with a personal photo and message, it makes a keepsake gift most people frame and display permanently rather than setting aside after the occasion.

Each poster features real events and cultural moments from your recipient’s birth year in the UK — major news headlines, sporting highlights, entertainment references, and notable facts from that era, all presented in an authentic aged-newspaper style. You also personalise it with their photo, name, date of birth, place of birth, and an optional message at the bottom.

Yes. You choose the photo and fill in the details — name, date of birth, place of birth, and any message you’d like included — on this page, as part of placing your order. There is nothing to send afterwards. The design team then builds them into your poster and emails you the finished file. If anything doesn’t look right, they’ll fix it — before you download, or after.

Yes. GiftsToPrint delivers the finished personalised file by email rather than physical post, so there’s no risk of a late delivery. The 12-hour weekday rush option means you can place your order in the morning and have the file ready to print the same evening. Once you have the file, any local print shop — Ryman, Snappy Snaps, or a supermarket photo centre — can produce a print quickly.

The file prints cleanly at all four sizes. 8”x10” and 11”x14” are the most popular for framing — they sit well on a bedside table or a living room shelf. 16”x20” and 18”x24” make a statement piece for a centrepiece or party decor.

Standard frames in these sizes are available at most home goods stores including IKEA, John Lewis, Dunelm, and most large supermarkets.

► This listing is for a digital product; no physical product will be shipped out.

► Refunds or exchanges are not accepted once your poster has been delivered — that is, once we’ve emailed you the download link. If something isn’t right with it, tell us and we’ll revise it. You can cancel for a full refund any time before then.
