Personalized Retirement Poster

Buying a digital file offers several unique advantages over a physical print. First and foremost, the turnaround time between you placing your order and receiving your personalized design is incredibly fast, often within 1 business day and, in many cases, the same day. This means you can have it printed, framed, and displayed in no time, bypassing any potential shipping delays or damages.

Moreover, a digital file gives you complete control over your purchase. There are no limits to the number of times you can print it once you have the file. This flexibility is perfect if you’re organizing a party and would like to incorporate it into your table décor or need multiple copies for any other purpose.

In addition, by choosing digital over physical, you’re making a conscious choice to reduce your carbon footprint. This is because digital products eliminate the need for physical shipping and packaging, which can be substantial contributors to environmental impact. So not only are you receiving a beautiful piece of art, you’re also making a greener choice.

Overall, opting for a digital file provides you with speed, control, versatility, and an environmentally friendly solution for your art needs.

Every done-for-you poster is one high-resolution JPEG, delivered by email as a Dropbox link. It’s print-ready at 300 DPI and works at 8×10", 11×14", 16×20" or 18×24". There’s no physical product and nothing is posted — you download the file and print it wherever you like.

You also get a complimentary black and white version of the same poster, included free with every order.

When your poster is ready we’ll email you a Dropbox link.

For our done-for-you posters, we offer 3 turnaround options:

► 1 business day — fulfilled by the next business day from you placing your order with your photo uploaded (Monday to Friday)

► 12-hour weekDAY rush — fulfilled within 12 hours of you placing your order with your photo uploaded (Monday to Friday)

► 24-hour weekEND rush — fulfilled within 24 hours of you placing your order with your photo uploaded (Saturday & Sunday)

When your poster is ready we’ll email you a Dropbox link. You don’t need a Dropbox account.

1. Open the email from us and click the link
2. The poster opens in Dropbox in your browser
3. Then download the poster itself:
On a computer — hover over the poster file and click the download icon that appears.
On a phone or tablet — tap the three dots in the top right of the poster, then tap Download.
4. The JPEG saves to your device — that’s the file you take to a printer

🔒 Dropbox may ask you to sign up. You do not have to. At the bottom of that box, choose “Or continue with download only”.

If the link doesn’t open or the download won’t start, email hello@giftstoprint.com and we’ll send the file another way.

The poster can be printed at home, however for a professional look we suggest getting it printed at your local print shop (Staples, FedEx Office, Walgreens Photo, Costco, or a local photo lab). There are also many online printing options.

Yes. The aged-newspaper effect is part of the design itself, not something the paper provides. The tone, the texture and the print grain are all built into the file, so it prints exactly as it looks on screen — on ordinary white paper.

There’s no special paper to buy. A matte or satin finish gives the nicest result, but standard printer paper is absolutely fine.

Yes. A custom retirement newspaper poster recreates the front page from the year the retiree started their career — featuring real news headlines, cultural moments, and price comparisons from that era. It celebrates not just retirement but the full arc of their working life. Most recipients frame it and display it at home long after the retirement party is over.

The year the retiree started their career. The poster is fully customized around this specific year, featuring real news and cultural content from that time.

Yes. You choose the retiree’s photo and fill in the details — their name, the year you’d like featured, and any message you’d like included — on this page, as part of placing your order. There is nothing to send afterwards. The design team then builds them into your poster and emails you the finished file. If anything needs adjusting, they’ll fix it — before you download, or after.

Yes. GiftsToPrint delivers the finished personalized file by email rather than physical shipping, so there’s no risk of a late delivery. The 12-hour weekday rush option means you can place your order in the morning and have the file ready to print the same evening — well in time for a retirement party or farewell lunch.

Standard retirement gifts — plaques, gift sets, wine — are generic. A personalized newspaper poster is specific to the individual: their name, their photo, their career era, and a message written for them. It acknowledges the full scope of what they’ve achieved rather than just marking the end of a job. GiftsToPrint has completed over 26,400 orders across Australia, the US, the UK, and Canada.

► This listing is for a digital product; no physical product will be shipped out.

► Refunds or exchanges are not accepted once your poster has been delivered — that is, once we’ve emailed you the download link. If something isn’t right with it, tell us and we’ll revise it. You can cancel for a full refund any time before then.
